Fight with the Shadow Lord

"We enter the room to Find him ready and waiting..."

On the last mission for our country we head back to Castle Zvahl to Fight the Shadow Lord once again. This time at his full strength, but this time for the last time.

Only 5 of us set out from Bastok to complete this mission; Eithen (PLD), Zulushock (SAM), Takane (BST), Rothkin (BLU) and me (WHM). The fight was 5-1, we were a man short but still determind to win what ever it took. Entering Castle Zvahl we rested to full helth and mp to be ready for any unexpected attakcs from neer by mobs, thought luckly it was not needed as we made it throught pretty much hastle free.

The fight was tough being a man down, it was slow and and painful drain on mp. But being stocked up on refreshing items, I just maneged to keep every one barely alive through out the fight.

After a long fight the Shadow Lord was defeated never to return... and the 5 of us brave soldiers emerge victorious! and prepare for the journey home.


So the last mission was complete. Thanks you to everyone you helped me along the way, and to all the members of my old LS (of witch I have annoyingly forgotten the name of). It was such a great shell and miss it now it has been lost.

Paladin: 1-75

I decided I was tired of my old job. For 2 years now I have been lvling White Mage, reached 75 and have been up and down between 74-75 for the past few months, with all the missions and quests putting me in inevitably fetal situations. I started looking for something I could defend myself with rather than having to rely on some some else to kick its ass for me wile I.. just... well.. helped...

"Back to Valkurm Dunes"

So due to the New changes to the EXP gained form easy prey mobs I actuly managd to atain lvl10 rather quickly and I started partying in the dunes the same day I started the job.
Also the lvlsync system Is awesome for looking for members... with out all the hasstle of having to look and wait for levels and jobs you need... now you can pretty much bother any one! lol

Memorys

I remember that days when I first stepped out into South Gustaberg, Clueless as to what I was doing and where I was going. Spending hours cutting down worms gaining EXP only to then stray to far from town and have it taken away by some Young Quadav that desides to sneak up and attack you wile your busy trying to take out a vulture!

It was hard to get to grips with. Not knowing any one to ask for help. Trying to figure it out on my own, but I soon started to make friends and joining up to a couple of linkshells. I soon had the ball rolling!

The journey to the dunes was a long and dangerous one! Quadav's would agro here and there but were easily taken out now at my higher lvl (about lvl10) and I was setting my home point along the way just to be safe. Arriving in Konschtat Highlands I Imedietly thought i was going to get lost but luckly, back in bastok I came across a lady selling maps. So I thought it best to stock up on all maps of surrounding areas.

The path was simple enough, after working my way through some winding valleys it was a strait trek north. Avoiding some very tough Goblins I made it to Valkurm Dunes in one piece..

Just decided to start blogging my time in Vana'diel.



To day as of most days lately, Ive been training up my PLD (Paladin). Last night I reached lvl 28 and things are slowly starting to grind, but with the new Level Sync system it has made getting a party together a lot easier and faster.
